Originally developed for individuals who experience challenges of Complex PTSD, a Comprehensive Resource Model therapy program, or CRM targets traumatic experiences by bridging the most primitive aspects of a person and their brain to their purest, healthiest parts of the self. Utilizing a variety of resources to access and address emotional trauma, a comprehensive resource model therapy program bring together neurobiology, breathwork skills, and somatic or bodily resources. In addiction, CRM therapy uses an individual’s connection to the natural world, toning and sacred geometry, and their intuition and relationship with a higher consciousness (if they have one) to tackle trauma.
Uses for a Comprehensive Resource Model Therapy Program
CRM therapy can be used to effectively address the following disorders:
- Dissociative Disorders: This is when individuals develop a lack of continuity between their thoughts, memories, and surroundings. Individuals become disconnected from their identity and their actions. Often, individuals struggling with this disorder will attempt to escape reality or self-medicate in order to function.
- Attachment Disorders: This covers a broad area of disorders where individuals experience extreme difficulty in forming healthy attachments to others.
- Performance Enhancement: Rather than using drugs or medications, CRM therapy can help individuals improve their mental health so that they perform better at work, in school, in sport, or even within relationships.
- Traumatic Brain and Body Injury: Whether in sport or due to physical trauma, when an individual experiences a brain or body injury their behavior can be altered. Healing this can take time and requires a unique approach such as CRM.
Integrative Life Center‘s comprehensive resource model therapy program is designed as a nested treatment. This means each modality leads to the next building up to the final goal of processing the trauma affecting the individual. Clients begin the treatment program and move through it progressively as they master each stage.
CRM is unique in that it accesses and clears the origin of the fear responses and provides the opportunity for re-connection to one’s true self. The purpose is for an individual to remember, re-process and release traumatic material from the soma or nervous system in order to heal from trauma and step into and embody the universal resources of love, compassion, and spiritual energy.
