Integrative Life Center is a group of skilled and dedicated professionals. We are called to serve the recovery community, helping those suffering from trauma, addiction, and mental health disorders.

ILC started in Nashville, Tennessee in 2010, and now has additional locations in Chattanooga, Tennessee. We have both on-site and remote team members at all locations, and your location will depend on the job you are hired to perform.

Job Title: Behavioral Health Technician (RA)
Reports to: Residential Manager
Status: Full Time / Daytime Shift / Overnight Shift

Integrative Life Center is growing! If you have a heart for helping people find healing from addiction, eating disorders and co-occurring disorders, and seeing them transform their lives from the inside out, then this role is for you.

You will play a pivotal role in the everyday responsibilities, tasks and interaction with our valued clients. You will be responsible for a variety of support tasks that are essential to the healing and therapeutic environment of ILC by monitoring and overseeing patient compliance with our program.

The RA assists in client orientation to the ILC facility and program, often being the primary point of contact during residency and providing emotional support and assistance to clients in crisis (under the direction of our highly capable and experienced clinical team). You will participate in transporting and supervising clients to and from their activities, monitor their attendance and participation in those activities, and assist with any self-administration of their medications. You will also participate in any activities or therapies as needed (and is appropriate) and contribute to any performance improvement processes as directed.

What this looks like IRL

  • Daily written and verbal communication with medical, clinical and administrative staff members
  • Taking on the daily tasks and duties of running a household according to ILC’s program guidelines
  • Provide administrative support to the Residential Manager
  • Daily interaction with clients who often exude behaviors of anxiety, illness, emotional upset, hostility, or are disabled or elderly
  • Every day is different; some days are unpredictable and your work is subject to overriding work schedules, shift changes and the needs that arise from client care
  • Responding to emergency situations to provide efficient and immediate care to the ill and injured resident.
  • Managing general medical complaints of altered mental status, respiratory, cardiac, diabetic, allergic reaction, seizures, environmental emergencies, and psychological crisis.

Requirements

  • High school graduate (AA or BA/BS preferred)
  • 1-3 years experience in the behavioral health/substance abuse field preferred
  • Current, valid Tennessee Driver’s License
  • Specialized training or knowledge in behavioral health and/or chemical dependency preferred
  • Ability to work with adult (18+) substance use disordered/mental health disordered population

Treatment at ILC is about transformation – transforming your life by engaging in a recovery program that focuses on healing mind, body, and spirit. We believe that treating the whole self is the key to sustaining a healthy and productive life. The path to recovery is not easy, which is why we offer personalized, trauma-informed care that addresses specific needs. Job Title: LPN/RN or higher
Reports to: Director of Nursing
Location: Nashville, TN

The LPN/RN or higher nursing licensure is responsible for providing the quality medical care for Integrative Life Center’s Residential and Partial Hospitalization Programs.

This position is open for day or evening coverage and PRN coverage will be considered. Part of the responsibilities include quality client care, shift report, medication logs, communication with staff, nursing assessments for the oversight of the onsite Residential Assistants and participates in all nursing daily or nightly duties and monthly meetings. This includes ensuring timely implementation of orders given, reporting of client needs, and documentation.

This position will report on a variety of functions including safety, quality improvement needs, and compliance standards of daily client care. This position will also perform direct services to clients including medication administration, education of prescribed medications, processing of labs with clients, executes portions of the initial treatment plans under the supervision of the Director of Nursing or Registered Nurse if designated by the DON and group facilitation as needed. This position will also attend weekly check in meetings with the Director of Nursing to provide information and education to ensure all services are delivered appropriately within each scope of practice.

Duties and Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Collection, tracking and maintaining client history, recording new data each shift
  • Collecting and documenting client vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respirations, temperature) daily and as needed, reporting any abnormalities to the Director of Nursing
  • Maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment
  • Observing clients self-administer their own medication as ordered, monitoring doses and client response
  • Administering client medication as ordered, monitoring doses and client response
  • Collecting urine drug screens and client weights as directed, documenting and reporting results
  • Assist clients with minor physical complaints and/or injuries with OTC medication as well as minor wound care as needed
  • Provide emotional support to clients and clients’ families; listening to and reporting concerns; offering supportive feedback
  • Communicating changes in level of client status to Director of Nursing, overseeing physician, or on call medical staff
  • Other duties as directed
