Confront Your Struggle at its Source with Neurofeedback

How are addictions, mental health disorders, and trauma all connected? Your brain. When you experience trauma, it can interfere with your brain’s ability to manage emotions. As a result, when you encounter stress or traumatic experiences, you’re less able to control, regulate, and process your emotions in the moment. Over time, these struggles with emotional regulation (also known as emotional dysregulation) can lead to mental health challenges and unhealthy coping mechanisms that turn into addictions.

Though these unhealthy patterns of thinking have been entrenched in your brain for a long time, it’s actually possible to retrain your brain to emotionally regulate better with neurofeedback therapy. As you understand the inner workings of your brain with neurofeedback, you’re empowered to face your future challenges in a healthier, more balanced way.

What is Neurofeedback Therapy?

Neurofeedback is a form of therapy that regulates brainwave patterns by reinforcing healthy brain function. By participating in daily neurofeedback therapy sessions, you can rewire your brain, developing new neural pathways that can lead to deeper psychological healing.

As a non-invasive form of therapy, neurofeedback allows you to see firsthand how your brain responds to various stimuli through the use of a visual brain map. By understanding these patterns, you can learn to adjust your thoughts and feelings in the moment. Neurofeedback uses positive stimuli such as pleasant feedback tones and screen fading to reward optimal brain activity and gradually eliminate emotional dysregulation.

What is Brain Mapping?

Each brain has a unique “electrical fingerprint” called a brain map. By assessing the 19 distinct locations of brainwave activity within your own brain map, our clinicians can identify your dysregulated areas that contribute to emotional and cognitive symptoms.
